The Ningbo Lishe International Airport is a fairly new airport; it opened in 1985 and is one of China's fastest growing airports with passenger numbers going up by 20% a year.
Currently more than 16 airlines fly to Ningbo Lishe Airport offering flights to 40 domestic destinations and several international ones (Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul and Macau).
Most flights from Ningbo Lishe International Airport are to Shenzhen and to Beijing but there are many more flights to other destinations as well, most of them by China Eastern Airlines. The new Ningbo Lishe International Airport was built just 15 kilometers southwest from the Ningbo city center.
The airport is located fairly close to the city and a taxi for the 10 km ride into town will cost around RMB 50. A shuttle bus is available as well: it runs to and from the airport to the South Ningbo Railway Station. It departs every hour until 18:00 and costs RMB 10.
