AirAsia: Wrong to impose same service charge for KLIA, klia2

AirAsia Bhd has urged the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) to consider the differences in facilities and services between the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) and KLIA before standardising the passenger service charge (PSC).


In a statement, AirAsia chief executive officer Aireen Omar said KLIA and klia2 were two vastly different airport terminals providing different levels of services and facilities to its users.


“It is inaccurate to say the services provided by the two airport terminals are comparable as facilities at KLIA are far more superior compared with klia2.


“We seek Mavcom’s transparency on this claim and strongly urge that Mavcom review feedback from travellers and customers of klia2,
