AirAsia cuts rebooking fee on elections day

In the run-up to Malaysia’s general election, 9 May, AirAsia is waiving flight change fees for re-bookings where the travel date falls on polling day.


The offer applies to Malaysian citizens only and must be concluded within 10 days from the announcement of the polling day by the Election Commission of Malaysia.


The country goes to the poll 9 May for the 14th national elections.


Passengers who need to change their flights for that day are given various options according to AirAsia.


They can move the flight for up to 30 days without a rebooking fee.


The can ask to credit the fare to their account for future travel with AirAsia, that can be redeemed up to 90 calendar days from the date of credit issue. To credit the fare the passenger complete an online form.
