1,900 CCTVs installed at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport

Following a string of recent terror attacks that hit East Java and Riau, 1,900 CCTVs have been installed at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to strengthen security and optimize surveillance.


“The cameras have been very helpful in assisting the officers to improve security in the airport,” Tommy Hadi Bawono, the senior manager of the airport's aviation security rescue and fire fighting unit, told Antara on Friday.


He said intermittent security checks would be carried out to deal with possible threats, with the police collaborating with the airport in securing terminals and the transit-oriented development building.
