Lion Air to link Yogyakarta’s Kulon Progo with Pontianak

Low-cost carrier Lion Air is set to fly a new route connecting Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo regency, Yogyakarta, to Supadio International Airport in Kubu Raya regency, West Kalimantan.


According to a statement on Tuesday, the airline will be the first and only carrier to link the two regions.


Starting from Sept. 25, the daily service will use Boeing 737-800NG, which has 189 economy class seats.


Flight JT-969 will depart Yogyakarta at 11:40 a.m. local time and land at Supadio airport at 1:20 p.m., while flight JT-968 will leave Supadio airport at 2 p.m. and arrive in Yogyakarta at 3:40 p.m.
