Garuda Indonesia To Fly Direct From Jakarta To London

Garuda Indonesia, the airline of Indonesia, has announced it will launch direct services from Jakarta to London for the first time in Q4 2013. The route will be served with six weekly flights on the airline's new Boeing 777-300 aircraft, accommodating 314 passengers across First, Executive and Economy Class.

Garuda Indonesia President and CEO, Emirsyah Satar explained that the opening of the route from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Gatwick Airport will complement the existing Jakarta - Abu Dhabi - Amsterdam route, and is part of the Quantum Leap program to further develop Garuda Indonesia's international network and become a "˜global player'.
