Garuda Indonesia airline starts flying to Timor-Leste
Indonesian airline Garuda Indonesia plans to launch flights to Timor-Leste (East Timor) on 1 July after it was authorised by the Timorese government to do so, the director of National Civil Aviation, Romaldo AntÃ³nio da Silva said.
Merpati Nusantara Airlines, another Indonesian airline suspended flights to Timor-Leste at the beginning of the year due to internal problems, and Garuda Indonesia will now provide a three-way route between Bali, Dili and Darwin, in Australia.
