Private carrier PT Sriwijaya Air Group says it is offering a "œone ticket for two airlines" service valid for its Jakarta-Lubuklinggau (South Sumatra) route, which opened on Saturday.

"œWe have put into effect the use of one ticket for two airlines, namely Sriwijaya Air and Nam Air, which is the subsidiary of the airline," PT Sriwijaya Air Group's senior manager of corporate communication, Agus Soedjono, said as quoted by Antara in Lubuklinggau on Wednesday.

He said Sriwijaya Air previously operated a Jakarta-Lubuklinggau flight route but had entrusted the handling of the route to Nam Air because of changes in the company's management.

Nam Air uses Boeing 737 500 aircraft with a capacity of 199 passengers.

Agus said Sriwijaya Air's decision to provide the one ticket for two airlines was initially met with doubt by customers in Lubuklinggau and its surrounding areas.
