Mandala Opens Three New Flights

Mandala Airlines, a local low-cost carrier, announced on Friday that it would offer three new flights, linking the East Java capital of Surabaya to Jakarta, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.


"œWe are really happy that we can start 2013 with a positive attainment. We are also very proud of Mandala's development so far, growing rapidly with the periodical addition of routes and new fleet and various extra services for our passengers," Mandala president Paul Rombeek said in a statement released in Jakarta.


The three flights would all be served by new Airbus A320s, a Mandala statement said. It also said that with the three new routes, the airline now serves 11 routes, including seven international flights, with 26 daily flights.
